    Campus Visits

    October 2021 update

    Face coverings will be required in all indoor and outdoor spaces for all admissions visitors, regardless of their vaccination status. 

    Only vaccinated individuals will be allowed to enter the Student Life Center while on the tour and residence halls are not currently open to campus visitors. 

    Weekday tours and information sessions will continue be added through the fall semester. 

    Campus tours

    In-person campus tours are available to all future Red Dragons. These tours look to introduce prospective students and families to key buildings and the general layout of SUNY Cortland's campus with the help of our student tour guides. Interested students may register below or contact the Admissions Office at 607-753-4711 to register.

    Information Sessions

    In-person information sessions will be offered Mondays and Fridays throughout the fall semester. Prospective first-year and transfer students are encouraged to attend to learn more about academic opportunities, campus life, the application process, financial aid/scholarship opportunities and more.

    Fall Open House

    Fall Open Houses will be held on campus Monday, October 11, and Thursday, November 11. These events will include opportunities to tour the campus, speak with representatives from academic and student services offices and attend presentations. Program information and registration will be available mid-September. Advanced registration is required. 

    Student-led virtual tours

    Interested students are encouraged to participate in a live virtual tour led by current student tour guides. They’ll chat about their experience, lead you through our interactive campus map and answer your questions. An admissions staff member also will join the conversation. This session takes place on the WebEx video platform and lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

    Admissions Q&A webinars

    All prospective students are encouraged to register for a weekday Q&A webinar led by an Admissions Office staff member. The webinar offers a short presentation to provide a broad overview of SUNY Cortland.

    Topics covered include academic and social opportunities, living on campus and more information about the application process. The webinar also offers the chance for prospective students to type questions through a chat feature.

    Transfer admissions Q&A webinars

    Prospective transfer students also can benefit from a Q&A webinar, geared specifically to the needs for transfer students, led by an Admissions Office staff member.
