    Mini Open House Week
    Monday, Feb. 15, to Thursday, Feb. 18
    6 p.m. each night

    SUNY Cortland’s Mini Open House week will offer informal Q&A panel discussions featuring various student service areas. These events take place on Webex and they are geared to accepted students and their families. Sessions are expected to last approximately one hour with brief introductions and area overviews. The majority of each program will be devoted to questions from students and families.

    Evenings will highlight a different theme:

    Monday, Feb. 15: Academic Service Areas

    This session will cover several areas that contribute to a Cortland student’s overall academic success. Representatives will be able to speak to options for pre-major students undecided on a major; Orientation and new student programs; transfer credit evaluation; internships and campus employment; professional and peer-led tutoring; and services for students with disabilities. Areas represented: Advisement and Transition, Career Services, The Learning Center, Disability Resources Office
     

    Tuesday, Feb. 16: Living on Campus

    This session will answer questions about two popular areas related to living on campus — housing and dining. Representatives will be able to speak to topics such as the housing assignment process, residence hall options and expectations, meal plans, dining facilities and nutrition services. Areas represented: Residence Life and Housing Office, Dining Services (Cortland Auxiliary)


    Wednesday, Feb. 17: Campus Life and Activities

    This session will consider ways to stay active and engaged outside of the classroom at Cortland. Representatives will be able to speak to student clubs and events, programs and outlets for students from underrepresented backgrounds, sport clubs and intramurals, fitness and recreation, outdoor activities and SUNY Cortland’s Student Life Center. Areas represented: Campus Activities and Corey Union, Multicultural Life and Diversity Office, Recreational Sports


    Thursday, Feb. 18: Paying for College

    This session will discuss ways to help fund a Cortland education. Representatives will be able to speak to federal and New York state aid programs; grants, loans and other awards; Federal Work Study; and ways to apply for scholarships as a new or returning student. Areas represented: Admissions Office, Financial Aid Office
