    Campus Tours

    Student-led campus tours last approximately 90 minutes and introduce students and visitors to key campus buildings. Tours are offered most weekdays throughout the year, except campus breaks and holidays. 

    Fall semester tours take place late August to early December, including select Saturdays. Spring semester tours are offered from late January through early May. Summer tours span early June through mid-August.

    Online Programs

    Admissions Q&A information sessions are available for first-year and transfer students year-round. Student-led virtual tours and student panel discussions also are offered during the academic year.

    Online programs are hosted on Webex. They are ideal for prospective students at any stage of the application process who are hoping to learn more about Cortland.

    Mini Open House

    These programs are held during common high school break weeks during the spring semester. They include a student-led campus tour along with a panel Q&A featuring staff members from key campus offices such as Advisement and Transition, Campus Activities and Corey Union, Career Services, Cortland Auxiliary Services, Financial Aid and Residence Life and Housing.

    EOP Information Session in NYC

    Many topics will be covered in this EOP Information session in New York City that appeal to all students, including academic opportunities, student service areas, athletics and extracurriculars, financial aid and important next steps.

    Staff members also will provide more information about the many layers of the Educational Opportunity Program, a special pathway to Cortland for economically disadvantaged students.

    Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Open House

    These large events take place Monday, Oct. 10 and Friday, Nov. 11, during the fall semester. Accepted Student Open House is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2023.

    Open House offers a chance to meet professors from many academic departments and staff members from student services offices. Facility tours, special presentations and self-guided campus tours also take place.

    Group Visits

    The Admissions Office welcomes groups of 10 or more students to campus through a group visit process. Group visits take place weekdays between 9 a.m and 3 p.m. and preference is given to high school and transfer students who are considering applying to Cortland. 

    All groups must complete the Group Visit Request form.

    Requests are reviewed in the order they are received and they are scheduled based on available staffing.
